Stories At Stamford Bridge & Home

Ahem, I guess it is alright to say things about Chelsea, which is the team that I dislike most. They were facing Barcelona, another football giants in European football and I prayed hard for the away team to win the game.

I watched the game at home with my two good friends at college, Zhenn Hsean and Sean We. We shouted and jumping like mad persons without caring too much of my sleeping parents nor the neighbourhood. Hahaha... I was watching it for the beauty of football and Sean We was for the betting. =D Okay, the most quite person was Zhenn Hsean, he made just little noise through out 90 minutes.

Del Horno was sent off in the first half for bringing down Lionel Messi but it was Chelsea leading shortly after the break. Later on, Barca equalized through the hero-to-zero John Terry. Funny enough, the first two goals were own goals. But soon with only about 10 minutes left, Eto'o scored the winning goal with his head. Sean We and I, along with Barcelona players and fans around the world were jumping for joy.

The highlight of the this game is certainly Lionel Messi, the 19-year-old kid. This young player is personally tipped by Diego Maradona, the football legend to be Maradona II. Messi had the football brain and his composure to beat the tight defense of Chelsea and it was only the post that denied his great goal. If he would not just be the next Paul Gascoigne, he will be the man to watch.

It was a great game overall with the flair that available on both teams but it showed that the over attacking talent in Barcelona that proved too much for Chelsea's defense. A GREAT GAME!

Hopefully Chelsea will be crushed in 2 weeks time at Nou Camp and seeing Barca through. Champions of Europe lost 1-0 yesterday to Benfica but I strongly believe The Reds will overturn the deficit at Anfield. It will be a very tough road for Liverpool to retain the cup but my support towards them will never die. Remember, Liverpool do not give up until the last second.

The beauty of football, the beauty of human hearts, simply excellent!
